In May 1947, the Idaho State Bureau of Vital Records assumed responsibility for maintaining marriage and divorce records from all over the state.

This collection is an index to divorces beginning in May 1947. Details in the index include:

• name
• spouse’s name
• certificate year and number
• county of divorce
• date of divorce

Some counties may maintain records dating prior to 1947, so if you’re unable to find a record on the state level, check with the county recorder. Links to Idaho counties can be found through the Idaho Association of Counties website.
