This collection contains a listing of over 900 marriages performed by Dr. Henry Hochheimer from 1850-1900. Hochheimer was a rabbi of the Baltimore Hebrew Congregation from 1849-1859 and Oheb Israel Synagogue (Eden Street Congregation), 1859-92, emeritus, 1893-98. 850 of the marriages were performed in Baltimore, with others in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Washington, D.C.

New York City, Selected Naturalization Records, 1816-1845

This database contains Declarations or Affidavits of Intent of individuals with Jewish sounding names, as determined by a committee from the American Jewish Historical Society. They were filed in New York at the Court of Common Pleas, or with the New York Superior Court from 1816-1845. It also contains reports of aliens made to the Clerk of the Court from 1816-1828.

U.S, Boston Arrivals of Jewish Immigrants from HIAS Records, 1882-1929

The American Jewish Historical Society (AJHS), located on the campus of Hebrew College, 160 Herrick Road, Newton Centre, Massachusetts, has among its holdings collection I-96, entitled “Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society Boston Individual Arrival Cards, 1882-1929”. This collection consists of about 24,000 five inch by eight inch cards, documenting the arrival of Jewish immigrants, both individuals and family groups. This database is an index to the microfilms, not an index to each arrival card. Its purpose is to supply sufficient information to identify arrivals of interest for further research. Each record in the database has the following information: Surname, given names, age, date, ship, where from, destination, other family members' first names and ages, microfilm number, and a sequential arrival number.
